It seems like the “powers that be” in Jefferson City are at least playing lip-serviceĀ  in the effort to help revitalize St. Louis City. With their help the long discussed, sometimes pipe-dream of a project, known as the Chouteau Greenway (or Chouteau Lake District), might just be back on the table. Read more

Some interesting news in South St. Louis this morning. It seems that the former coke facility in Carondelet, officially known as the Carondelet Coke Plant, is going to become a business park. More details will be unveiled later today, but the site is the largest parcel city-owned property at 42 acres, and is currently highly polluted. Read more

If you have been following this blog over the past few months, you know how important I believe the new Interstate 70 bridge connecting Missouri and Illinois in Downtown St. Louis is. As the region goes, so goes the City, and the future of Highway 70 is very important to us all. I have had my misgivings over the arrangements made in February, but on the whole I think the planned Mississippi River Bridge will be a huge step for the region. Read more
