Apparently April Fools Day has come a little early this year. The St. Louis Cardinals have just announced their plans for the Ballpark Village site for the year. I’d like to introduce you to our new parking lot and softball field. Read more

As frustrating as it is, Bill DeWitt Jr. and Cordish are good at spinning things out. Here’s the latest in the sage from the St. Louis Post Dispatch. I really do think this project will actually happen at some point, but I hope everyone learns their lesson. Which they won’t. At least we are in the same plight as Kansas City with their Cordish Development, the Power & Light District.

Since Ballpark Village is finally underway (note the sarcasm), I guess its time to think about the 2009 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. Or at least, that’s what Major League baseball seems to think. The Post Dispatch just revealed the logo for next year’s big game. Its kind of sad to think that we’ll be happy if the Village has even gotten off the ground by then. At one point, the first phase was supposed to be done by the game. Just trying to keep things in scale.

The Post Dispatch is reporting that the Cardinals will begin site work on the future site of Ballpark Village on Tuesday, August 5th. I was listening to the ballgame on the radio the other day and Mike Shannon kept talking about a big announcement coming this Tuesday. My posting frequency has been slowed quite a bit over the past few weeks due to being really busy with work and taking on my new rehab project.
