Creative or tacky handrail?

I was driving through Tower Grove East yesterday when I saw this curious sight. Apparently, when the owner of this building needed to put a handrail up in front of their building, they looked no further than the bedroom. I can’t make up my mind if they are trying to be creative or trying to be thrifty. Either way its certainly an unusal sight.

Right across from the shaved duck….I’ve noticed that one before too.

Looks a little tacky to me.

I’m going to go with tacky on this one.

Tacky. Why not just spray paint a refrigerator and lay down next to the steps?

  5. BoB: That’s actually not a bad idea. But rather than use the frig as a rail, you could make it into some kind of planter. A good mix of annuals could really set things off nicely in the yard. I make fun of that, but if you looked in every yard in St. Louis, I bet you would find someone who has actually done that. One man’s garbage is another man’s art I suppose.
