It looks like the section of Magnolia Avenue, between Minnesota and Michigan is continuing to get attention. Just half a block away from the two recently-built infill homes from EcoUrban, The Meyer Group is building three (maybe four) new single family homes.
Details are sparse at the moment, but crews have been fast at work the past few weeks at 2650-58 Michigan and have made great progress. Three foundations have been poured and the structure and roof of one of the buildings is complete. Another one of the structures is now half completed (these pics are from a few days ago). Things have been moving along quite quickly.
There seems to be enough space on the northern end of the area, that the developer might intend on building a fourth unit. Judging by some of the other projects on the company’s website, the finished product will likely feature a brick facade and vinyl siding and the sides and rear.
Of course, this is all guesswork at this point. In the coming weeks, as they begin to market the properties for sale, more info will probably surface. I’ll be sure to post it when its available. In the meantime, I’m just happy to see Tower Grove East getting some attention. There are some great lots and great real estate just waiting to be rehabbed, and its great to see someone who is a believer. Especially in this economic climate. Bravo Meyer Company.

I know brick is more expensive, but if you’re in STL you need to build a brick building on all four sides. Fail.
However, when I say fail, please know that I’m happy to see urban renewal, but vinyl siding on three sides???? sad, sad, sad
