Today marks the beginning of an interesting new experiment in Downtown St. Louis: St. Louis grocery-mainstay Schnuck’s opened the doors of their new Downtown store, Culinaria, today. This 20,000+ sq ft store is located at the intersection of 9th and Olive will operate near City Grocers, which has been open since 2004. Downtown has made some great strides in recent years, swelling to over 11,000 in population, but the level of business these stores receive will be a good barometer for things to come.
