The mixed-use property on the SE corner of Morgan Ford and Connecticut is an example of one of those buildings that seems to be in a perpetual state of construction. In the early part of the summer of 2008 it looked like the place was nearly finished, but it has sat relatively idle since then. Until now that is.
Plaza Pastries & Donuts, located on the Connecticut facing side of the 3182 Morgan Ford building, is now open for business. No word yet on the quality of their product, but with coffee, health food, and brunch already covered in the Tower Grove South neighborhood, this place should find a niche. At the current rate of progress, in a year or two there will be no more vacant commercial space on Morgan Ford north of Utah.

Then let me be the first to say their product is delicious! I’ve gone 4 times already!
In that case, maybe I should go and sample the entire menu. You know, for journalism’s sake.
Do they have a web site?
Not that I could find. And I searched for a while.
We just went there this morning, and their doughnuts were DELICIOUS! So glad to finally have a good doughnut shop in the South City area!
Now, if only the commercial space at the corner of that building would get finished up, we would really have something. That place has been under construction for almost three years now.
