Plaza Cafe & Grill on Morganford

<?php the_title(); } ?>

After being under construction for years (literally), the commercial storefront at 3182 Morganford appears to be nearly ready for business. So what’s going to open up in this long vacant space at Morganford and Connecticut? A restaurant called Plaza Cafe & Grill.

Plaza Pastries & Donuts on the Connecticut side of the building finally opened at the end of this summer, but the main storefront has been sitting, nearly complete, for some time.  An “Opening Soon” sign has been up for over a month now, but the actual signs for the business are now in place so hopefully that means the opening is eminent. Another boon to Morganford and the Tower Grove South neighborhood as a whole. Aren’t we supposed to be in a  recession?

    It has opened, but with open signs on 8×11 paper. Not sure if its the restaurant’s soft opening, but it has been all week. I haven’t found any news on it yet. I checked South Tower Grove website and nothing is posted.

    Please correct your entry about Plaza CAFE & Grill. WE are not a bar & grill (dont have a bar in this establishment), although we do have a full drink liquor license. Also, this restaurant is only a part of a development that spans from Connecticut to Wyoming. We have not only been working on this building for years. Please feel free to come and talk to us and get the facts before you print any informative information about us. Also,……We do appreciate your support !

    • Having taken a picture of the sign with “cafe” in the name, I think I can chalk that error up to writing in a hurry. I have written quite a few article about the entire complex over the last few years and most frequent readers are aware of the situation. I honestly don’t have time to do one-on-ones for restaurant details, but if you have a website please pass it along. In the meantime I have fixed the name.

    We ate at Plaza Cafe & Grill tonight. The food was delicious and the surroundings pleasant. The owners Aletha & Todd are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. A BIG thumbs up for Plaza Cafe & Grill. Try it you’ll like it.
    P.S. Look forward to trying out the donuts in the Donut Shop behind the Cafe.
