Following the completion of Citygarden in Downtown St. Louis, there seems to be renewed interest in the long-troubled Gateway Mall. This renewed interest, as well as the fact that things are probably pretty slow for architects right now, led St. Louis-based HOK’s Planning Group to brainstorm this idea for Kiener Plaza. Nothing can ever truely make up for all the great buildings that were destroyed to make way for this project, but it is nice to see that something noteworthy might grow out of this after-all.
