More than two years after plans were first unveiled, it looks like the Georgian Square project, in the South St. Louis area known as Bohemian Hill, is finally getting underway. The size of the project, however, has been scaled back. A lot.
Like most projects unveiled in 2007, this one had to be cut back to match the current economic climate. It seems that the only part of the originally proposed project that will be going up is the Walgreen’s along Lafayette Avenue. The grocery store and additional retail is still planned, but the Walgreen’s is the only component tbat will see the little of day for time being. More as it develops.
