As great as being on NPR was, I was a little bit let down that the story aired only in St. Louis, and not nationally as I was told. It seems that I have nothing to worry about anymore. The story ended up airing on the national program “Marketplace” last week. Here’s the story.

In a 180 from their previous policy of refusing to sell their fromers school buildings to Charter School Providers, the St. Louis Public School officially announced this morning that they are now willing to consider offers from Charter Schools on these buildings. Read more

I’m certainly no stranger to visiting shady buildings. I have been going into vacant houses all over the area for years. Mostly by myself. I understand the risk and accept it. But that doesn’t mean that property owners and their real estate agents don’t have some level of responsiblity in making sure the property is safe. Read more
